How about doing a 6 day bike and kayak adventure, now before you run away ...Only two hotels for the 6-day span! So only 2 mandatory biking days (when we switch hotels day 3 and 6). Of course if need we could drive some folks to other hotel. Want to kayak or swim one day? No problem! A shopping day? No problem! Avid cyclist wanting the maximum mileage— 245 or more miles and over 7000 feet of elevation during the 6 days? No problem!

This is a kayak and bike adventure to Door County Wisconsin.  I have 6 people who want to bike for sure and kayak some too. Hope to have 12 total.  with 5 nights of hotels cost would be $1595 double occupancy. Day 1,  Monday, June 28, 2025, 

Sturgeon Bay, Wi. ..We love Door County! We come every year for great weather (highs in low 70s and lows in 60s),  scenic bike riding and good company. After you check in feel free to do a tune up ride.

Day 2, Sunday July 29th, 2025.

7, 41, or 44 Miles     Three choices or just enjoy your day. Go south or go north. . We will see Door County beaches and shorelines.  It is a scenic peaceful ride after which come back to  Best Western Maritime Inn for a Meet and Greet.

Day 3, Monday, June 30, 2025.

Luggage is transported to 2nd hotel while you bike to Fish Creek. Options range from

Sturgeon Bay to Ephraim.  Just give us your bags and get on your bike.  Our host hotel is  the 5 star rated (Tripadvisor) The Water Street Inn,  built in 1896 The Water Street Inn is a newly restored historical landmark in the village of Ephraim Wisconsin. The Inn offers 26 beautifully renovated rooms all with spectacular water views. Rooms include all new furnishings, walk in tiled showers and flat screen TVs. Day 4, Tuesday July 1,  2025.

Fish Creek to Washington Island & return.  Our host hotel is Parkwood Lodge - Door County. 

Washington Island is the largest of Door County’s thirty islands with over 35 beautiful square miles and over 100 miles of roads to explore and enjoy. Our journey to Washington Island begins as you bike onto the ferry and enjoy a scenic five mile route over crystal blue waters with views of the surrounding islands rocky shores, lush forests, and the serenity that you’re seeking.  Your hectic pace becomes a distant memory and meaningful “enjoyment” begins. I love the Lavender Farm and gift shop and the many choices for shopping and eating. Very little car traffic as many visitors leave their car on the mainland.

Day 6, Thursday July 3, 2025. 

We will shuttle your gear back to Best Western Maritime our 1st hotel in Sturgeon Bay while you bike there. We can also shuttle folks to a hotel or the airport in Green Bay after everyone returns if you are flying not driving. Biking this last day Fish Creek to Sturgeon Bay follows the west side of the peninsula to Egg Harbor and the Green Bay shoreline.  27 miles, 852 elevation, https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39743997

While this Fun Bike Trip is on its last day be sure to consider joining us in St Pete Clearwater Beach Florida in November or bike the 22 trails that make up the Ohio to Erie Trail in July. 

If you do shortest option that is 26.7 the two times when we switch hotels so 54 miles.

If you ride the shortest option every day you get 107.4 miles and 3181 in elevation or 17 a day. 

If you ride the longest option every day you get 245 miles and over 7000 feet in elevation or 41 a day. 

Note: Bicycle rental is not included so if you don't want to bring your own bike try Nordoor Sports, a quick walk from our start and finish at Best Western Maritime.  We have personally rented from them multiple times, their bikes, service and rate are great.  Trek Domane AL 2 Road Bike: This road bike features the same aero shaping and race-ready detail as Treks top-end bikes. They're strong, light, and exhilarating. Limited availability due to bike shortage and pandemic.
